THE HOTEL MARBLEHEAD POLICIES:
Reservations: Reservations by telephone are taken between 8am and 9pm Eastern Time and online anytime by clicking on the “Accommodations” link.
Occupancy: All rooms allow for 2 guests only at the THM. For Rooms 8 and 14, a $35 charge per night for one additional guest, not to exceed 3 guest per room.
Check-ins: Check-in time is 3pm until 8 pm. Checkout time is 11am. No early or late check-ins please unless you have made special arrangements directly with the hotel.
Deposit & Payment Options: Because of our size and market, cancellations affect us significantly. A deposit of half of the total charge is due at the time of booking. If booking a one- night stay, we require the full amount. Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. We do not accept cash or personal checks. We will send confirmation of your reservation upon receipt of your deposit within 24 hours.
Cancellations: We require 30 days notice prior to your confirmed arrival date for any cancellation or change of dates for a refund of your full deposit. If any full or partial cancellation or change of dates is made within 30 days, regardless of the reason, you will forfeit your full deposit. Additionally, we will not accept cancellations or refunds during any Holidays periods. We can, however, accommodate date changes within the same month, based on availability and related price changes for a $35.00 fee.
Children/Young Adults: Please note we only register children twelve years and older. An adult must also be staying in house with all children on premises. For this policy, it is best to first call the hotel prior to booking to see how we may best meet your family’s travel needs.
Guest Responsibility: We understand accidents do happen, but guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence in room and on property.
Smoking: As per Massachusetts State Law, The Hotel Marblehead is a smoke-free establishment. There will be a $350 cleaning fee for anyone who smokes inside the property. This includes e-cigarettes, vaping devices and marijuana. We allow smoking in our outdoor garden area.
Service Animals vs. Emotional Support Animals: According to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), “A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.” Businesses and other entities do have rights that protect them if a particular service animal behaves in a way that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others or is not under the control of the handler. The Hotel Marblehead accommodates official Service Animals as outlined under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Hotel Marblehead does not participate in the hosting of Emotional Support Animals. ADA Accessible Room: We have one ADA compliant room on the first floor equipped with a roll-in shower, a shower bench and rails, and wheelchair accessible doors, closets and sinks, and ADA compliant clear space throughout the guestroom.
Weddings Stays and Large Groups: The Hotel Marblehead is a unique and intimate setting and we may or may not suit your needs. Please contact the Manager directly to discuss the details of your event. Any functions/gatherings which have not been approved by the hotel will be billed to the credit card on file.
****Please also note that due to the intimate nature of our hotel, we are not able to accept room blocks of any kind. We do accept room reservations with a 50% deposit. These monies are non transferable.
